Updates & Current Work
Hi! This post is currently in a work in progress state...
But while you're here's what I've been up to lately:
- I'm currently working alongside a professor at SDSU in helping test the security of the Ethereum Blockchain.
- Etherem has had a couple implementations over the years, but the one I'll be testing is the Go implementation of Ethereum, also known as Geth.
My background & prior experience with blockchain
- None. I have never touched blockchain code, smart contracts, or even had a strong understanding of blockchain technology nor it's uses until the past couple months.
- One time in middle school I mined some Monero (XMR) on my old laptop. But it got taken away by a wallet I later learned other people called a scam :( ~ So that was the extent of my prior knowledge.
So as one might expect I'm pushing myself outside of my comfort zone right now, not only in learning Golang (which is also completely new to me) but also in learning about blockchain technology and how to it works.
Technology?
- I'm using GoLand to hop around the Geth code.
- I'm also using Go-Fuzz to fuzz Go-Ethereum's code.
- We'll see what else I'm using as time continues
- People are important too! I'm learning a lot under the guidance of my professor.
I'll probably post once I find something cool/learn an important lesson.
In the mean time feel free to message me or ask me about it (or send me random potentially useful articles!)
